I hate the white outline in this gif 😛
Um I think the “white outline” you are referring to is in place due to the darkness of the page itself. If it was not there, it would be much harder to see where the gif actually ends I believe. Also if this is true, it would also most likely mean that if this sprite is put into the game, then they will probably have an alternate form of outline in a different color more suitable to the environment to where it is located.
