I planted a ton of TNT, and now debating whether or not I should activate them all.

Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it.

I did, and boy did it cause a giant lag. Now there is a gapping hole in the ground on the minecraft sever I set up. It goes all the way to bedrock.

I don't know, I didn't bother to keep count. But it was a straight down shaft all the way to bedrock, filled with TNT, with a bit of an abandoned mineshaft filled in too.

You should play on creative, a lot of fun to see what you can build. You can build Vinyl scratch on my sever if you'd like 8)

Update: I have some updates I need to do on my computer, which requires me to restart it, so my sever will be down for a short whiel, I'll have it back up asasp.

If I try to go over 500 Minecraft crashes for me.  :(
But that sounds fantastical!

the only way for me to keep accurate records of the number of TNT blocks I use, I'll have to do it in survival peaceful. that way I grab x 64 stacks, and count how many stacks I use, plus "y-64=z" of the stack that I have left to determine how many blocks I used. or I take the long process of counting each block individually.

Update: I have the sever back up and running, so if you're interested in some multiplayer with me, I'll gladly send the IP address through pm.

I also did a test, and took my single player world, and made it multiplayer , so you can see the incomplete project I'm working on yourselves ;)

A pressure plate that opens a bunch of trap doors that make you fall into a chamber with a nether portal, sending victims TO THE NETHER >:o

Is that actually possible though?

I'll give it a try when I get back on my other computer. if it works, I'm going with it.

Actually, yeah, this should be quite possible with the magic of pistons... I'm not entirely sure how it would need to be wired up, but I can't think of any immediate reason why you couldn't surround the portal with pistons, then push the victim inside and hold them long enough for the victim to be teleported. Devious idea here, I'll have to make one of these things too... :snap:

The problem here comes in, at the following:

1. Tick delay:
1a: How many repeaters set at how many ticks, to make it so the pistons that push you into the gate does it almost immediatly, giving no time for the player to jam the pistons.
1b: a delay between initial activation, and deactivation of the pistons so they rest, ready for the next victim.

2. What's stopping them from just turning around, and heading back? well, two possibilities come to mind:
2a: No blocks surrounding the gate in the nether, forcing them to have to take time to set blocks themselves, if they brought any.
2b: Forcing them to set their own blocks gives enough time for ghast to blow them off the gate and into lava.
2c: once 1 player sets the first block, it becomes easier for others to pop in and out. But the ghast should see a stop to that, unless they slowly build a shelter around the portal.

Once they get back, they may grief your house, which doesn't sound fun.

Edit: question, does anyone have ventrilo?

I'm building a nether trap right now. Or at least trying to. I'll tell you guys if I end up building one that works well.
